After a hugely successful theatre career as an actor and creator of new Danish theatre in Copenhagen, he had his breakthrough in film in Nightwatch (1994), for which he received a Robert Award for Best Supporting actor. Kim’s second Robert Award came for his outstanding performance in The Bridge (Bron/Broen) which also brought him awards and nominations at the Monte-Carlo TV Festival, including The Golden Nymph award in 2014 for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series.

In 2010, he portrayed Lars in Susanne Bier's Oscar® winner Best Foreign Language Film In A Better World. Then in 2011, he made his Bollywood debut in the Aamir Khan-produced film Delhi Belly. Biography

Kim Bodnia is a Danish actor educated at the Denmark Copenhagen Theatre school (1988-1991). After a hugely successful theatre career as an actor and creator of new Danish theatre in Copenhagen, he had his breakthrough in film in Nightwatch (1994), for which he received a Robert Award for Best Supporting actor. Kim's second Robert Award came for his outstanding performance in The Bridge (Bron/Broen) which also brought him awards and nominations at the Monte-Carlo TV Festival, including The Golden Nymph award in 2014 for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series.
