Season Three is the third season of the BBC America television series Killing Eve. The third season was announced on April 8, 2019, just a day after the second season premiered. It was scheduled to premiere Sunday, April 26, 2020 but the premiere was moved up two weeks to April 12 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Synopsis[]

Eve is a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade MI5 security officer whose desk-bound job doesn’t fulfill her fantasies of being a spy. Villanelle is a mercurial, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her. Killing Eve continues to follow these two women, equally obsessed with each other, as they go head to head in an epic game of cat and mouse. Based on the Villanelle novellas by Luke Jennings.

Notes and trivia[]

  • Suzanne Heathcote is taking over from Emerald Fennell (who took over from Phoebe Waller-Bridge) as head writer for Season Three.[1]
  • All credited writers this season are female.
  • Production began on August 19, 2019.[2] After half the season had been filmed, there was a short break to allow the actors and producers to attend the Emmy Awards, where Jodie Comer won for Lead Actress in a Drama.[3] Production wrapped on January 19, 2020.[4]
